Recruitment and selection and which are practical and effective towards attraction good talents.

Service industry is getting the dominating position in the competitive business world. So banks are increasingly focusing on employee’s extra role behavior to satisfy customers and increase the service quality. An employee who demonstrates high OCBs is likely to generate high levels of customer satisfaction, through their propensity to help customers make better decisions (Zehou, 2014)

PLANNING PHASE

This planning phase can be also called as the ‘’pre-recruitment phase’’.it lays the managerial and logistical foundation to initiate the recruitment and selection process and is the planning and resorcing stage of the entire exercise

1.       Job description

2.       Manpower plan

3.       Identification of vacancies

4.       Approvals

5.       Competency mapping

6.        Market and resource analysis

7.       Other agreement

Recruitment is the discovering of potential candidates for actual or anticipated organizational

vacancies. Or, from another perspective, it is a linking activity bringing together those with

jobs to fill and those seeking job. The ideal recruitment effort will attract a large number of

qualified applicants who will take the job if it is offered. It should also provide information

so that unqualified applicants can self-select themselves out of job candidacy; this is, a good

recruiting program should attract the qualified and not attract the unqualified. This dual

objective will minimize the cost of processing unqualified candidates.
